Millwright Program
FPDI, in partnership with Lotus Learning Solutions, offers an intensive 8-week training program designed to equip First Nations learners with the foundational knowledge and practical skills required for entry-level employment as a millwright or industrial mechanic.
The program introduces participants to the safety standards and expectations of industrial job sites, along with the proper use of tools and equipment. Learners will develop an understanding of trade terminology and essential work procedures specific to the millwright trade. A strong emphasis is placed on hands-on training, allowing participants to build confidence while meeting industry expectations for safety and professionalism.
The program also includes comprehensive safety training, covering personal protective equipment, job site safety practices, and the opportunity to obtain relevant safety certifications.
Running from September 14 to November 6, 2026, this program prepares participants for the demands of the field.
