Construction Electrician Pre-Employment Program for Indigenous Women
FPDI in partnership with IBEW Local 2085 to deliver the Construction Electrician Pre-employment Program for Indigenous Women in September 2024.
This program not only offers valuable training in a high-demand field but also specifically targets Indigenous women, who may face unique barriers to entering the construction industry. It is a significant step towards creating a more equitable and diverse labor market.
The program is 1211 hours in length. Upon successful completion of the program applicants will have their level 1 electrician accreditation with the credit for 900 hours towards Apprenticeship.

(Preference will be given to unemployed and underemployed female First Nations members from FPDI ISET Communities in Manitoba)
Pre-requisites for program:
· Grade 12 Diploma, Mature Student Diploma or GED
· Applied Math 40, or Physics 40s, or Pre Calculus 40s
